Government earmarks Rs 450 crore for Back to Village Phase 3 programme
The unique initiative of its kind in 4,290 panchayats is expected to again witness tremendous response from the public like the earlier phases. The third phase of the B2V programme is a festival of development and democracy among the masses and to ensure redressal of grievances, the Government of J&K has earmarked Rs 450 crore for undertaking developmental works.
To improve the efficiency of the ambitions programme in Phase 3 of Back to Village, it has been made mandatory to carry out atleast two developmental works in every Panchayat.
A senior Government official said that B2V3 is preceded by a 21 day Jan Abhiyan to ensure that the voices of the people are heard and their grievances addressed on the spot.
